Why is the change in state of matter called a 'physical change'?

Physics TSWRIES Gowlidoddi (State Board) Gowlidoddi, Hyderabad , Telangana 19 December, 2019

Unlike 'chemical changes' like charcoal burning to give CO2, changes of state like solid to liquid on changing temperature are reversible. Hence they are called by a different name.
