Why has COVID-19 not so much spread in Africa?

Biology Al Qamar Academy (Small Science) Chennai , Tamil Nadu Class 4 13 March, 2020

It is difficult to say whether the virus has spread across Africa or not. Perhaps not many people have been tested for the virus, so we have found very few cases among them. Africa is the top trading partner of China, where the virus originated, so there would have been many people who travelled between China and African countries. Also, it is possible that a lot of people are infected but unaffected, which may happen because the population in African countries is much younger, on an average, than in Europe and China, and we know that young people are much less affected than older ones. Still, the African countries do need to take precautions, because their healthcare systems are generally more fragile and already dealing with other diseases.
